I'm going to try and do a series of pictures over the next few months if I have time (my classes are starting up so we'll see), but I figured I'd throw this up here as its the last time I'll get to work on it for a little while. First up: Luigi. I'm going with a space opera type perspective on the whole Mario mythos, sort of John Carter of Mars-esque.

So this week, we got to design a book cover for any currently published book. Went with a design based of a recent science fiction series I completed called the Hyperion Cantos (consisting of the books Hyperion, Fall of Hyperion, Endymion, and Rise of Endymion). It's truly an amazing series, I highly recommend it. Same situation as last week---if you guys have any suggestions on which design you feel is the strongest, let me know, I'd love to hear it!

I also designed another take on this classic, but decided to go with Hyperion instead.

So for my Digital Design class (which is totally rad), we were assigned the task of creating 6 characters, hero's, villians, sidekicks, what have you, as long as they were related or themed in some way. I decided to go with the idea of creating a team of assassins/hitmen/guns for hire type deal based around the colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV). Next, I'll get to color three of em, but here's what I came up with. Let me know which ones you think deserve the color treatment?

First assignment this week: draw and color a character you have drawn. I decided to draw a re-interpretation of Tybalt from a short story that I wrote for another class last quarter.

Second assignment is a possible stamp for an olympic event from any year..I chose the upcoming 2014 winter olympics.

was what we had to be visually sensitive about, as the assignment was in fact determining the value (lighting-wise) of these ladies. I used toned paper with white/black charcoal pencils. The first one was from a picture, and the second was a mastercopy (copying a picture as closely as possible by a master, in this case, Pierre-Paul Prud'hon) of this picture.

My latest assignment for perspective: atmospheric perspective, where spacing and perspective is determined by the darkness of the figure and the amount of detail (where the background fades into nothing due to atmospheric obfuscation of millions of teeny molecules in the air).

I was thinking of a group of hitwomen...this is what I came up with.

For my other class (Perspective), I was tasked with drawing a scene in isometric (i.e., starcraft/warcraft/red alert/sims/generic rts viewpoint) perspective..rendered completely in 3 opacity's of markers (ugh). I decided to do such, honoring one of my favorite scenes, in one of my favorite movies.

Hello everyone,

I've decided I need some type of web presence, so I'm gunna start dumping basically everything that manages to make it to computer here (crap or not), and it'll give me somewhere to actually direct people to if they wanna see anything.
